Yes. The interview can follow both, using the subject’s own account and suitable family materials. Decide which experiences they wish to discuss. A documentary does not require sharing sensitive service details or making military experience the main theme.
An additional location needs advance discussion of access, permission, timing and package scope. We do not promise permission to film on military, public or privately managed property. The home interview can still include memories and photographs connected to that place.
Mention the letters during planning and describe their condition and ownership. We can discuss how relevant materials might support the interview. Printed materials may need separate preparation; scanning and restoration are not automatically included in the basic photograph allowance.
Drafts and finished films are delivered privately. Public portfolio or promotional use requires a separate written release. Raise any preferences about names, family relationships or identifying details when planning the interview so they can be discussed.
