Birthday life story films
A parent or grandparent can reflect on childhood, relationships, work and the events that shaped their life. If you are arranging the film for someone else, our guide to films for parents explains how to introduce the idea.
Birthday, anniversary and retirement biographies
Mark a birthday, anniversary or retirement with a personal documentary. We film the person’s memories in a guided conversation at home and shape the interviews and family materials around the occasion.

Choose the purpose of the film
The occasion helps decide which experiences to explore. We prepare the interview around the person and the intended audience, with enough context for relatives who may be hearing these stories for the first time.

A couple can describe how they met, decisions they made together and the family they built. Including both partners as interview participants calls for Signature Life Film or an appropriately scoped larger package.
A retirement can be a chance to record how someone chose their work, the people who influenced them and what they learned. For a family business owner, a founder biography can explore those experiences in more depth.
Plan before the occasion
Tell us the date you have in mind before choosing a package. The interview is one part of the project; organizing photographs, shaping the edit and reviewing the draft also take time.
These are typical completion estimates. We discuss availability and a proposed schedule before booking. Archive readiness and the speed of family feedback can affect the final delivery date.
Choose one person to collect photographs and coordinate revision notes. If several relatives are sharing the cost or contributing material, agreeing on that contact early makes preparation easier.

Giving a personal documentary
A film can be a thoughtful family gift while still giving the subject a clear choice about participating. Explain what the interview involves, who will see the finished documentary and why you would like to make it.
Gather photographs or short clips tied to the subjects being discussed. For an anniversary, that might include early photographs together and different family homes. For retirement, it could include the first workplace, colleagues or a meaningful project.
Every package includes private online delivery, an HD master and a sharing copy with personal family viewing rights. If you intend to show the film at a celebration, explain the setting during planning. Event coverage, projection equipment and a hosted screening are outside the published packages.

You can introduce the idea as a gift, but the person being interviewed should understand the project and agree to take part before filming is booked. If you hope to keep a particular detail or family contribution a surprise, discuss that during preparation so expectations remain clear.
